Tomorrow morning we will "EMBARK" on our three day adventure into the Wyoming territory. Tell your friends and family to check the website here for Pics we'll try to post them every night. There has been much Prayer and Faith put into this so that all may have an uplifting and testimony building experience. May your socks be dry, your flour weevil free, and the winds be a gentle breeze.

So much time and so little to do......... you know what I mean
Hello everyone, its crunch time! Wow in two days we'll be on our way. Temperatures in Fort Bridger is a balmy 56' this morning. Our forecast looks like we'll have nice temperatures but the possibility of rain. So everyone come prepared.
I will try to post pictures every day for the families at home to see what we are up to. so Send them to this Blog site.
A couple of things to consider.
Buffalo and cow chips are not snacks, road apples don't grow on trees, diamonds may be nice for girls, but gold bond is a mans best friend.
There are plenty of hitchhikers on the trail. So check for ticks they like old logs, the brush, dogs and people.
Remember to take sips of water often. If you wait till your thirsty you've waited too long. Have your kids use the facilities when they can.
Say yer prayers, be polite and no fisticuffs please.

Three days and we'll be there
Just a few more days and we will be on the trail. I found it interesting that 158 years ago on June 9 1847 the vanguard company with Brigham Young departed Fort Bridger and was on the very same trail we'll be on. They descended gravel hill, they crossed the "muddy" exactly to the day. So with that being said, remember the efforts, struggles, lives and sacrifices that were made by them. Everything they did took an enormous amount of Faith. It still takes faith today.
Don't forget to Remember
As we remember them, may we also remember Him, who's gospel this is. Keep Him in our thoughts, our actions, our words, and hearts. God bless you all and may he watch over us on our journey.
See you Thursday morning bright and early.

From the Grove to the Temple.. It still takes Faith
Whether we have ancestors that were pioneers or we are the pioneers in our family. It takes incredible faith to to follow our own trail to the Lords house. |
I did a search of my ancestors and found that I did have twelve that had made the journey. As I walk with each of you this summer I will also carry their names and walk with them.
So with that said I would like to challenge each of you to do a little research and you too can carry your ancestors with you this summer. Its easy to do. First follow this link My Pioneer Ancestors Login by using your LDS login and password. If you don't have one talk with your ward clerk and get the information and create an account. You are now one click away from seeing your "trek" Ancestors. enjoy I can't wait to hear about your Ancestors, hey lets compare lists, maybe were related!
