  2. I was thinking today on my bike ride of the many great things we have done for the youth. This Trek is one of those things. This is a great opportunity to fulfill the mission of the Aaronic Priesthood by preparing these young men to serve missions, to be worthy fathers, to prepare for temple blessings and to be great leaders of the Church. Likewise, what better setting do we have to help prepare our young women as daughters of our Heavenly Father, to become wonderful mothers, to receive temple blessings, to pursue education.

We are doing this Trek for the right reason, at the right time, at the right place and utilizing correct Gospel Principles.

While we have done incredible planning into this experience, it is now time to execute and provide these youth a wonderful experience. The setting is in place. Now we need to come together as "one", leave any animosity we may have against one another so that all can feel the Spirit.

I am reading a book on Dave Neeleman, former CEO of JetBlue. He relates that on his mission, the missionaries were struggling. The Mission President held a conference in which the missionaries were asked to leave their petty differences, become united and go out and work. On the back of the Mission calling cards, the Mission President had imprinted the words "Expect a Miracle". Dave Neeleman explained that this was the turning point in his mission.

We too can expect a Miracle on this Trek. Let's make it happen.

Thank you for all of your efforts, kindness and insight. I look forward to a great experience.

    Dave
